Our Story

ELKL Studios is our journey to bring out the kid in you

ELKL Studios is a family effort powered by imagination, engineering, and a lot of laughter. The name comes from Emmy and Kaeden, the two kids at the heart of everything we create. Mom operates the business, dad handles the engineering, and the boys drive the creative direction.

Growing up in North Vancouver and Whistler, Emmy and Kaeden spend their days skiing, mountain biking, and exploring two of the best places on earth for both. Their ideas orbit the worlds they play in, and that same sense of play is what we pass on through everything we make.

YouTube Videos: Where It All Started

"weird things happen"

ELKL Studios began in 2022, when Emmy and Kaeden were just 8 and 10, making Lego stop‑motion videos. These early masterpieces - some of which proudly sit at 20‑plus views 😆 on our YouTube channel - were their first experiments in storytelling, animation, and creative collaboration.

By 2025, their YouTube presence took an unexpected leap. The boys started posting finger‑biking videos. Those clips went viral across Instagram and YouTube, reaching more than 70 million views and introducing ELKL Studios to a global audience.

Descenders Maps: Creativity Levels Up

In 2023, the boys moved from Lego bricks to digital worlds. Using Unity and Blender, they began building custom maps for the mountain‑biking game Descenders.

Two of Emmy's maps, Velocity Bike Park and ELKL DH, exploded in popularity. They ranked as the #1 and #3 most‑popular mods during 2025, out of roughly 450 community maps, earning rave reviews from players around the world.

These projects taught them level design, 3D modelling, game logic, and the joy of seeing thousands of people play something they created.

Finger Bikes: From Idea to Real‑World Product

Our first full suspension prototype

Also in 2024, Emmy and Kaeden entered the finger bike world. Like many other kids, they saw that most finger bikes lack durability and none offer true suspension. So they set out to build something better. They sketched ideas, tested concepts, and shaped the look and feel, while dad handled the engineering to bring their vision to life.

The result was the first ELKL Studios finger bike, a tiny full‑suspension bike built to survive real play. The viral videos that followed helped launch the product into the hands of fans around the world.

Keeping the Kid in All of Us

Our story is still unfolding, and we’d love for you to follow along on YouTube and Instagram. And if you’re ever riding in the Sea to Sky, hit us up! The boys are always down for a lap.

We hope you all enjoy all the silly, funny, and fun‑to‑play stuff that hopefully brings out the kid in you!
